Are we springing out of recession-thinking?

Have you noticed how the daylight is stretching a bit further now?  It’s no longer pitch black in the morning when we wake, and the sun seems to linger a bit longer in the evenings.  The weather is milder too.  It really feels like Spring!  (come on Summer!!)

It seems, at the same time, there’s more positiveness in the air about the economy.  Maybe I’ve become immune to all the noise, but it seems a bit quieter now on the “recession talk” front.

Another good indicator is real estate.  Sales in our local area seem to have picked up recently with nothing staying on the market long.  I’ve attended 3 auctions lately and was pleasantly surprised at the levels reached.  Experts may say real estate has taken a downturn, but I can honestly say all these properties achieved bids as high as I would have expected in the height of the market.  I was very pleasantly surprised.

I’d be interested to hear what you’ve got to say about this.  What do you think the feel is in the air out there?  Are we starting to forget about recession-thinking and beginning to look positively ahead?  Or am I just dreaming?
